You may not know this, but Leslo has had a few deodorant stories as of late. On her Calgary cancer treatment trip in May she forgot deodorant. (A woman this busy and stressed does not want to forget deodorant!) She had to go to the local drug store in the hospital to buy some and they only had crappy stuff.
On this last cancer trip in Toronto, Leslie took one baby to the hospital first and Jen and I were going to follow with the other 2 an hour or so later. About 20 minutes after Les left I got this text:

What deodorant do you use, and like?
I've been trying out Lady Speed Stick lately. It seems fine...
I don't like "Secret".
It reminds me of being 12 and being so embarrassed about having to wear deodorant.

Haha! Love this!!! Yup I'm on the look out as well...I find if I don't change kinds every time after the bottle is finished my body gets used to it and I start to smell. :) I didn't use to like "Secret" either until I started to try their clean (white bottle) kind. It's not the wet gel it is still the roll on but it seems to work better. But I haven't been down the deodorant isle in a while though as I send Michael to run the errands and I just have him get this same stuff because it is working so maybe all of "secret" has changed to this, but I remember they used to sell it in the light blue bottle.
ReplyDeleteThanks for teasing me :) There is nothing worse than showing up at a hospital (when you're already on edge and prone to sweat a little) and remembering you forgot deodorant. And why do our bodies suddenly start sweating more when we realize we forgot deodorant?! Does that happen to anyone else??? :)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try the Lady. I use secret. But not the old scent, I don't like the smell. I use a cocoanut one usually, it's pretty good.
