Baby/Toddler Cups

When you have multiples, there are a few items you need to be REALLY functional. Sippy cups are something you need to work well! You need ones that are easy to hold, and easy to suck. I am posting several types as I've used a bunch of types as they've grown from one phase to the next.
The best type of cup for learners is a weighted straw cup. I used the Munchkin brand because it was the cheapest, it came in my boy's colors, and it worked great. They could tip this cup any direction they wanted and it would still suck up the water! AMAZING! My only complaint is that it doesn't work well under pressure (Ie if you fill it with milk and pull it out of the fridge, as the air warms, the milk will seep out of the top of the straw). But it was great for water! And at the early stage, that's all they need since they get their milk from breastfeeding/bottles.

After they grew out of the weighted straw cup, I purchased the following cups. Contigo Striker for water. I like that it's very durable. The straw can be clicked in to keep it clean when you are on the go. It did take a little learning to get the boys to suck hard enough to get water out.

Next, when my boys transitioned to regular milk, I used these cups. I love that they help teach them the concept of regular cups. But the biggest bonus to these cups is that they are very easy to clean and don't spill (unless you drop them). I recommend 2 brands. First I like the munchkin ones when they are little as they have handles. But the silicone lip is not as durable. So as they get older and don't need handles, I recommend the Wow cup.

  1. So glad you had your multiples first so I can follow your lead.. :) We are still in the weighted straw cups stage... Should we have outgrown them by now..??! Guess I better start training them on the 360's...
