When I was in college I remember being in awe at some dish one of my friends made that required a zester. When she showed me the tool she used, I immediately bought it, even though I had very few real kitchen tools in my college apartment. The zester is THAT cool. I've used it as a zester for citrus fruits, or as a grater for soft cheeses (like Cotija on Mexican dishes). It works great and I keep it safely tucked away in my baking drawer. Give it a shot!
